VMworld Europe 2012 – Getting around in Barcelona

With less than three weeks to go until VMworld Europe in Barcelona we imagine you’ll be planning your trip in earnest. In order to make your planning as easy as possible, we’ve pulled together a list of everything you need to know about getting around Barcelona.

The event is being held at the FIRA Grand Via conference centre, which is easily accessible by the major transport routes.

By Metro

Take Line 1 of the Metro to the stop named ‘Bellvitge’, which is outside the conference centre, or alight at the ‘Espanya’ stop and take a short walk to the venue. See here for a complete Metro map and here for details on ticket prices.

By Bus

Take the 79 bus to the Gran Via venue, but a variety of buses will help you access the centre from all over the city this hyperlink. See here for a list of all bus routes.

Several FGC trains stop at the Europa/Fira stop which is the closest to the venue. For a full list see here.

If you haven’t already booked a hotel, see the VMworld site for a list of all the best hotels in the area, along with prices and distances from the venue and details on how to get discounted flights and hotel rates.
