They say good news comes in pairs. Today I am elated to announce that IDC has once again ranked VMware the market share leader in cloud systems management (1) and in datacenter automation software (2 ) based on 2014 software revenues according to two recent reports.
According to IDC, “The fastest-growing vendors such as market leader VMware are succeeding by providing enterprise customers with evolutionary road maps for blending management of traditional virtualized datacenters, software-defined infrastructure, and hybrid clouds.”
These achievements, and our customers commitment and trust that made them possible, were hard-earned. We recognized our customers’ evolving IT challenges and opportunities and have continually improved our solutions to meet their needs. They are focused on taking advantage of the agility and speed the software-defined datacenter and hybrid cloud environments deliver. Over the past five years, we have built out a comprehensive management stack that delivers a unified management experience across private and public clouds, vSphere and other hypervisors, and physical systems.
I would like to thank our customers and partners for their continued support and feedback — both key drivers behind the growth and success of our business. We recognize that this space is progressing rapidly, and that there is still a lot of work to do. We look forward to continuing to partner with you to meet today’s IT challenges while evolving our solutions to meet your future IT needs.
