It’s here! vForum London is taking place today, with vForum Manchester a few weeks after on the 8th of July. With vForum London in full flow and in the ramp up to the Manchester event, who better to give his thoughts on why it’s an essential show than the regional director for UK & Ireland, David Parry-Jones. Here’s what David has to say about what vForum offers:
For you, what is going to be the highlight of the events?
Having seen a preview already, Joe Baguley’s keynote is going to be a standout presentation this year (as it always is!). While there will be fewer chickens and kittens, this year there will be a white box as the focus of the presentation. I don’t want to give away any more than that, but you can guarantee it’ll be worth seeing.
What will attendees get out of vForum?
The key thing delegates will leave the event with is a much greater understanding of our current solution portfolio. Since the last vForum, we’ve launched a number of ground-breaking solutions including vSAN, NSX and vCloud Hybrid Service and dramatically enhanced our mobile offering through Horizon 6 and the AirWatch acquisition. A lot of delegates may have heard about these developments; what we’re looking forward to is the opportunity to explain what they can help our customers achieve.
Delegates will also be able to make some great connections with over 40 trusted technology partners in the Solutions Exchange area. This is a superb opportunity to talk through your IT needs and discover new areas where the technology and solutions on show truly support your business and IT goals.
What else should attendees look out for?
The VMware Fast Lane Racer booth! You might have seen the game already online, but at vForum you’ll have a chance to play the game with the chance to win a high-end remote control car. We’ll be running a leader board throughout the day, and the quickest person around our track will be declared the VMware vForum UK Fast Lane Racer champion. The stand for the game will be down on the Solutions Exchange, so make sure you pay a visit!
It’s not too late to register for vForum London or Manchester, so if David’s overview has piqued your interest, make sure you put your name down. Also, if you are attending you’ve got the chance to win a ticket to VMworld by entering our online competition.
