vCloud Hybrid Service (vCHS) has twice the compute power of Microsoft Azure, and three times the storage performance of Amazon Web Services!
When it comes to running applications on IaaS, price-performance is what matters. To that end, VMware commissioned independent technology assessment firm Principled Technologies to compare vCHS to other public cloud services and found it outperformed them in a number of categories.
You can read all the details from Mathew Lodge, VP of Cloud Services at VMware over on the VMware Corporate Blog. For a more technical view visit the Office of the CTO blog, to hear behind-the-scenes insights on vCHS from the Chief Architect of Cloud Infrastructure Services himself, Jason Lochhead. Don’t forget to give them both of them a follow on Twitter too – @mathewlodge and @jasonlochhead.
Being able to offer a competitive, high-performance experience on a shared cloud platform was the main priority behind vCHS, and it’s great to see this achievement acknowledged by an independent firm.
