The new name in Hybrid – vCloud Air

There’s something in the air today, and it’s the hybrid cloud. Today we have announced the vCloud Air Network, an extension of our hybrid cloud services and global Service Provider ecosystem. The vCloud Air Network is the world’s largest network of validated cloud services based on VMware technologies, and will provide businesses with greater choice and flexibility when it comes to hybrid cloud. And we haven’t left it there…

As a tribute to our commitment to deliver innovative as-a-service solutions, our hybrid cloud solution, vCloud Hybrid Service is being rebranded as vCloud Air.

Here’s what Geoffrey Waters, vice president, service provider channel, Hybrid Cloud Services Business Unit, VMware, has to say: “We continue to see tremendous momentum for VMware vCloud Air as more and more businesses look to capitalize on the undeniable operational and economic benefits of hybrid cloud. The VMware vCloud Air Network represents another key element of our cloud strategy – enabling customer choice and flexibility to find the ideal, local cloud service based on industry leading VMware technology. Our customers can focus their resources on growing their business, knowing that their IT team can seamlessly and securely extend their data centers and applications to the cloud.”
