The Global Security Disconnect

The Global Security Disconnect

As you may have already seen in one of our previous blog posts, we recently launched a new piece of research exploring the disconnect between IT department and the wider business when it comes to data security (take a look at our infographic outlining the main results).

As you may remember, we found that business leaders, IT decision makers and employees are not on the same page when it comes to security planning and priorities. Rather worryingly, IT leaders across EMEA aren’t disclosing some of the most serious cyber security breaches to senior management. Not only does this create a disconnect between IT and the wider business but it means that investment in security is often far lower than it should be.

Interestingly, the size of this disconnect isn’t the same across the world, with some countries doing a far better job of disclosing information. And so, in order to shine a light on this, we’ve launched an interactive infographic that reveals the extent to which business leaders, IT decision makers and employees across the globe are aligned on security planning and priorities.

To assess the situation in your region, check out our interactive infographic here.
