Scaling up vCHS

How does vCloud Hybrid Service (vCHS) fit into the increasingly crowded enterprise cloud market?

bill-fathersLast week Bill Fathers, SVP and GM of VMware’s vCHS Business Unit discussed this and more on the Gigaom Structure show.

Bill stressed that, with its impressive network of data center and service provider partners, vCHS is taking on even the biggest cloud providers.

Compatibility was another key theme. “[vCHS] is a cloud platform that is not only compatible with your existing environment, but should you choose to use any one of the industry leading software products out there, it doesn’t matter. It will all work equally well on VMware’s technology.”

In addition he delved into the issue of the cost of cloud services, and why the corporate cloud decision should not be all about the price. You can listen to the recording here.

If this has caught your interest, Bill Fathers will also be speaking at the Structure event taking place on 18th – 19th June in San Francisco.

This may be a little out your way, but there will be plenty of scope to learn more about vCHS at the upcoming vForum events in London and Manchester too, both featuring a session on the architecture and consumption principles of vCHS. Check out all the other sessions, speakers and agenda, and register here for free for vForum London on the 11th June, or vForum Manchester on the 8th July. See you there!
