With over 500 sessions to choose from and just three days to get best out of the VMworld Europe, the only limitation it seems is time. To help, take a look through our tips below on how to maximise your learning and make the most of your time in Barcelona!
Make every day count and use the schedule builder to sign up for the countless breakout sessions, labs, workshops and group discussions. Our content catalogue gives you an initial overview of the agenda and if you’re still not sure where to kick off, try one of the ‘suggested paths’, which include sessions based on subject areas including Sofware-Defined Data Center, Hybrid Cloud, Storage, End User Computing, Networking, Management, Architects and Security. And don’t forget head over to the hangout space over lunch to try your hand at our racer game with some fantastic prizes up for grabs – all taking place between 12.30 and 2pm Tuesday and Wednesday.
Networking Networking Networking!
Have you packed your business cards? Networking is key at any conference and especially at VMworld Europe. Kick off with the welcome reception in the Solutions Exchange, a good place to catch up with colleagues and talk to other attendees. For a more focused dialogue head to one of our discussion groups or visit more than 125 technology partners at the Partner Solutions Exchange at the heart of the event. Not to forget that you can join in the discussion on Twitter too, and share what you are up to by tweeting using the #VMworld hashtag – we’ll also be highlighting the best content on @VMware_UK as well as here on our blog.
Knowing how to get there
Your day is scheduled; the conference pass is ready…now you only need to know how to get there! A shuttle service is offered from the airport and the Europe Fira Metro station to VMworld 2014. To check the distance to the venue from your hotel, have a look at the official hotel list.
Still need a hand?
If you are still not sure about any of the above, attend the New V Welcome Session today which can be found in your schedule builder and added to your schedule like any other session. It helps you to find your way around and points out all ‘not to miss’ activities.
This year’s VMworld promises to be the best yet, if you are not heading to Barcelona, our team will be on ground, sharing all the news from the keynotes, the buzz from the Solution Exchange and all the great activities taking place – follow us @VMware_UK and on this blog.
