How VMware cloud technology helped Kaseya improve its customer experience

In recent months we have seen an increasing number of companies moving their key operations to the cloud, for reasons varying from increasing flexibility for supporting growth to cutting costs. One of our most recent customer examples is Kaseya, a global provider of IT Systems Management and automation software.

Kaseya was already running all its internal operations on a virtualized physical infrastructure, but wanted to migrate all internal and customer-facing operations to the cloud.  

In order to do this, Kaseya enlisted StratoGen, a VMware partner, to host and manage the new infrastructure. Following this move to the StratoGen cloud, Kaseya has seen a 500 per cent increase in capacity and performance, with an 80 per cent reduction in hardware investment and running costs.

Kaseya’s systems automatically monitor, manage and maintain IT infrastructure anywhere in the world. One of the problems it faced was the wide variety of end-user environments used by its customers, which make it harder to provide a quick and easy resolution to common problems. As a result, it wanted to offer a SaaS service which would provide a standardised infrastructure delivering increased visibility and increased control, and enable support issues to be resolved far more quickly.

Kaseya’s creation of a SaaS offering based on its cloud infrastructure has meant it has improved the service it offers its customers. All of the company’s customer-facing applications are now virtualized, helping Kaseya to provision services to customers quicker than before. As a result of the new infrastructure, each of Kaseya’s customers now has the same template on the same environment, making it much easier for Kaseya to monitor any issues and fix problems if they occur.

“It’s important we’re able to react to any customer requirements as soon as the request comes in,” says Max Duncan, Head of Corporate IT at Kaseya. “Productivity and response times are now very quick compared to when we were running the physical estate. We can now have a fully configured environment set up for a customer within half an hour.”
