Delivering end-user computing for the Post-PC era

As we’ve said before, the Post-PC era is here. We’ve been anticipating this evolution, with our end-user computing suite of products, for a while now, and we were delighted to announce earlier this week that we’re unveiling an updated portfolio that will deliver a more agile, productive and ultimately connected enterprise.

With VMware View 5.1, Horizon Application Manager, Project Octopus, and Personal Cloud Applications, we’re looking at freeing up employees and IT departments to use the devices of their choice whenever and wherever they choose, whilst keeping the enterprise secure.

Stephen Kleynhans, research vice president for Gartner, said that end-user computing requires “enterprises to fundamentally rethink how they deliver applications and services to users.” With our updated EUC portfolio, businesses can do exactly that.

You can find more information on the updated suite here. If you’d like to see some of the products in action, there’ll be the chance to see demos and hear from some of our experts, including Joe Baguley, at VMware Forums on 9th May in London and 22nd May in Manchester, so register now. We’re going to be looking at the issues around EUC in more detail in future posts, so be sure to check back soon. If there are any questions you’d like answered or areas you’d like covered, be sure to tweet us @vmware_uk or post a comment below.
