VMworld Europe 2015 – Day One Highlights

What a way to start VMworld 2015 Europe – an inspiring keynote showing just how you can be ‘Ready for Any’. The key theme at this year’s VMworld Europe is how businesses need to be ready for any, and demonstrating how VMware’s One Cloud, Any Application, Any Device approach is a vital part of this was central to the keynote. During the opening presentation, some of VMware’s top execs outlined the new and updated products that are coming together to deliver the One Cloud, Any Application, Any Device vision:

  • vRealize Automation 7 – Introducing unified service blueprint capabilities to enable IT and DevOps teams to simplify and accelerate the delivery of integrated multi-tier applications with application-centric networking and security across multiple clouds.
  • vSphere Integrated Containers and VMware Photon OS – Building on the support for VMware Photon OS on vCloud Air, vSphere Integrated Containers is now also available on the cloud platform, allowing IT teams to truly support any application, including containerized applications, on a common vCloud Air based infrastructure.
  • vCloud NFV platform – Designed to help communications service providers accelerate their implementations of Network Function Virtualization.

From storage and security to networking and training, there’s something there to solve any business problem. The Solutions Exchange is still open on days two and three, so make sure you get yourself down there.
