Is your business Built for the Fast Lane?

We all know IT departments are under pressure every day, having to keep up with continuing developments in the industry, growing security challenges and ever-demanding business needs to name but a few. This last point in particular is crucial; the relationship between business and IT has significant consequences for an organisation’s ability to operate successfully, to continue to be competitive and to grow. So, how is IT actually performing?

VMware will soon be announcing the results of their ‘Built for the Fast Lane’ research, looking at the alignment between business and IT. The research incorporates feedback from 1,800 IT decisions makers and 3,600 office workers across EMEA, and provides valuable insights into the current performance of IT departments in line with the needs of their businesses. Also included will be comments from Joe Baguley, VMware’s Chief Technology Officer EMEA, and from senior spokespeople from Biomni and the Centre for Economics and Business Research.

Do you have what it takes to enter into the Fast Lane? Here is your chance to find out!

Today is the launch of our Fast Lane Racer game, where you can enjoy some retro racing fun whilst getting your VMware fix! Available on mobile and desktop, we currently have three tracks for you to try out, and we’ll be adding more tracks over the coming weeks, so make sure to check Twitter and our blog to stay updated.

Whilst playing the track, you will encounter obstacles and power-ups – keep an eye out especially for the spanner, as this will allow you to upgrade your car at the end of the race! You’ll be able to choose from the following four upgrades, each representing VMware’s core strengths.

Over the coming weeks, we will be running competitions where you can win VMware gifts, along with some other surprises which will be revealed soon! Make sure to watch out for our Fast Lane research, which will provide valuable insights into the existing gap between business demands and IT delivery.
