On Wednesday and Thursday, Cloud Expo Europe, the largest and most highly attended cloud event in the world, will be taking place at ExCeL London. The two day event brings together experts from around the world, providing a forum for discussion around the industry’s newest and upcoming technologies and business solutions.
VMware has a great presence at the show and some of our leading execs will be there speaking about all things hybrid cloud, as well as how to unlock IT to unleash innovation.
Have a look below for details on their presentations, and where you can see them:
- Wednesday, 11 March, 11:20-12:00, Service Provider and Cloud Ecosystem Theatre: Gavin Jackson will be joining a panel to talk around the theme “Building the Interconnected Cloud”. Head of VMware’s hybrid cloud service in EMEA, Gavin will join our partner Equinix’s panel to consider best practices for enterprise cloud adoption and how the interconnected cloud delivers performance, security and efficiency by bypassing the internet.
- Wednesday, 11 March, 14:35-15:10, Cloud Industry Forum Theatre: Join Richard Munro, VMware’s Chief Technologist for vCloud Air in EMEA, to hear him discuss “The golden rules to successful hybrid cloud management and execution”. In his session, Richard will address how businesses can take advantage of the hybrid cloud, without having to compromise on security, reliability, ease of management or their existing or future application portfolio. He will look at the golden rules for managing and using hybrid clouds, which are leading to significant IT and business benefits, from cost savings, risk reduction and increased agility.
- Thursday, 12 March, 12:00-12:25, Keynote Theatre: “The Grand Challenge: Simplifying IT to Unleash Innovation” with Paul Strong, our VP and Chief Technology Officer, Global Field. In his keynote Paul will explore how solid and permanent business models are now becoming fluid and liquid. Today, IT in large enterprises sits at a crisis point. Apps are the lifeblood of the business but managing them has become problematic. While the challenges are many, large-scale change is possible – and indeed, imperative – to take IT from a place where change leads to the steady state, to where change is the steady state. Paul will look at the issues enterprises worldwide are facing as they aim to transform their IT infrastructures to keep pace with rapidly evolving business models, and how VMware’s technology is at the very heart of enabling this.
- Thursday, 12 March, 13:45-14:10, Cloud Management, Services and Applications Theatre: Hear Gavin Jackson’s talk on “The Hybrid Cloud as it was intended”. True hybrid clouds have the power to completely transform the IT landscape over the next couple of years, enabling businesses to seamlessly scale the consumption rather than construction of IT as they grow. Gavin Jackson will discuss the compelling use cases for a hybrid cloud and what the board and IT department should expect from a ‘best of both worlds’ cloud environment.
