VMware’s EMEA partners get well-earned recognition at Global Partner Innovation Awards

Jean Philippe Barleaza, our EMEA VP Channel, Alliances and General Business, congratulates this year’s Partner Innovation Award winners and recognises the important role our partner community – from EMEA and beyond – plays in bringing VMware’s vision for digital transformation to life

As we continue to help organizations digitally transform – whether that’s providing mobile working to enhance the customer or employees’ experience or delivering a Cross-Cloud architecture to enable businesses to navigate a multi-cloud world for greater agility, or build security into the network to help organisations mitigate risk from cyber threats– one of the most crucial cogs is the VMware partner community. After all, without our partners, we wouldn’t be able to bring our strategy and vision for digital transformation to life.

That’s why we take the time each year to recognise the outstanding achievements of our partners with the VMware Global Partner Innovation Awards.

Our honourees received their awards at this year’s Partner Leadership Summit, where we acknowledged global partners from across 21 different categories to give them accolade for their support over the past year.

I wanted to take a moment to especially recognise and congratulate our EMEA partner winners, many of whom earned global prizes as well. They really have stood out amongst their peers for their achievements in the VMware partner ecosystem.

Here are our winners:
The EMEA Cloud Provider of the year was Finland-based IT services company Tieto Corporation, and our EMEA Education winner was training company QA Ltd.

Meanwhile, ATEA won both the EMEA and global 2016 Partner Innovation Award in the Digital Workspace area and, likewise, Russian IT distributor Merlion won both the EMEA and global awards in the Emerging Markets Distributor category.

Hitachi Data Systems won both the EMEA and global awards for Innovation OEM partner, and in an outstanding year, COMPAREX won the EMEA and global awards for Marketing, as well as the EMEA award for Renewals.

The EMEA winner of the hotly-contested Enterprise Solution Provider award was IPM, while the VMware NSX® EMEA Partner Innovation Award winner was Bechtle. For its outstanding work as a professional services partner, ITQ Consultancy B.V. won the EMEA Partner Professional Services Program (PPSP) Award.

SVA – System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH, a leading systems integrator in Germany, won both the EMEA and global awards in one of our core strategic areas – the Software-Defined Data Center category. The company was also recognised as the top EMEA partner in the Solution Provider award selection.

The Technical ISV EMEA award went to Redes System, while Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) won the EMEA and global 2016 Partner Innovation Awards in the Strategic Alliance section.
