What did you do last
summer week? Probably visiting Barcelona. 😉
Yes it’s only a week since the biggest VMworld Europe, and the team was out in Barcelona speaking with executives and attendees alike to get their views and reactions of the event. And we have put together a YouTube playlist which includes all the best content from the show. It gives you a chance to get a quick download on the news, updates and experience of VMworld 2014.
In the first of our videos is a quick interview with Matt Piercy, VP Northern EMEA taking about his highlights of VMworld which includes VMware EVO:RAIL updates with HP coming on board to complete the portfolio.
Meet The Bloggers
Don’t worry, this is not the sequel of the movies ‘Meet the Parents‘ and ‘Meet the Fockers‘. Our second and third videos are insights from two of our esteemed bloggers; Amy Lewis from Cisco, aka @CommsNinja, and Barry Coombs, who runs VirtualisedReality.com.
Amy talks about the vRockstar event which takes place before the start of VMworld, giving bloggers and those active online a chance to meet and network with their peers – and also some advice on how to get involved in the conversation that takes place online at VMworld, primarily on Twitter.
Barry tells us about the insights he took away from VMworld, including Project Fargo – hmm seems another link with Hollywood, too much of a coincidence ? 😉 – and the results of the Cloud Volumes acquisition previously discussed at VMworld US, along with what that means for him in his role, and for his customers and end users.
And finally we have a timelapse video of a major part of VMworld Europe – the Hangspace, showing you some of the meeting areas, the blogger area and just some of the fun activities available to VMworld Europe attendees this year.
We will be adding more videos to this playlist in the coming days and we’ll be letting you know when new content is available through our Twitter channel @VMware_BE so keep your eyes peeled.
We’d love to hear your highlights from the show, and what you took away from VMworld. Let us know on Twitter using #VMworld or send us a message. In the meantime don’t forget we have wrap up posts and Storifies from the general sessions of VMworld so if you did miss anything, get up to speed and check out everything that was discussed and announced at the conference.
